Ness
Ness is the main character of Earthbound. He is the Unlikely Protector of the Earth. He lives in Onett with his mom, his sister Tracy, his dog King, and his Dad (the telephone). He posseses great PSI powers. Part of the storyline bases around his struggle to fully realize his potential and free his mind.His main weapon is any baseball bat. His PSI powers include PSI: "Special", Flash, Life-up, Heal, some Shields, Hypnosis, and Teleport.
Paula
Paula is the second character who joins you for the long haul. You get Paula by rescuing her from the Happy Happyists. She lives in Twoson at the Polestar Preschool with her parents and the children who go there. She also posseses great PSI powers. Her main wepean is any frying pan but she can also use a yo-yo, but from personal experience I can tell you that you shouldn't use any yo-yo for any reason. Her PSI powers include PSI: Fire, Freeze, Thunder, Magnet, some Shields, Offense Up, and Defense Down.
Jeff
Jeff joins your party in the town of Threed, but starts his adventure in Winters. He doesn't learn any phsyic powers but he is a great help with his powerful bottle rockets and his ability to repair things. His best weapon is the Gaia beam which I have never received. His I.Q. level determines whether he will be able to repair a broken item into a destuctive weapon.
Poo
Poo joins you in Summers, but starts his quest in Dalaam, where he is a prince. Most normal foods have little effect on him. You can only equip four items which will increase his attributes. They are the: Bracer of Kings, Diadem of Kings, and Cloak of Kings. His only weapon is the Sword of Kings which you have only a 1 in 128 chance of recieving from the Starman Super.His PSI powers include PSI: Freeze, Thunder, Starstorm (extremely effective), Life-Up, Heal, Magnet, some Shields, Brainshock, and Teleport.
